Where an RBT can work?
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) can work in a variety of settings where Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is provided. Some of the common places where RBTs can work include:
1)- Autism Treatment Centers: Many autism treatment centers provide ABA therapy to children with autism. RBTs can work in these centers as part of a therapy team that includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other therapists.
2)- Schools: RBTs can work in schools to provide one-on-one therapy to children with autism or other developmental disabilities. They may work in special education classrooms or provide therapy services in a separate room.
3)- In-Home Therapy: Some families prefer to have ABA therapy services provided in their home. In-home therapy can be more convenient for families, and it allows the RBT to work with the child in their natural environment.
4)- Clinics: ABA therapy clinics offer a range of services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. RBTs can work in these clinics to provide therapy services under the supervision of a BCBA.
5)- Hospitals: Some hospitals offer ABA therapy to children with autism who are admitted for medical care. RBTs can work in hospitals to provide therapy services as part of the child’s treatment plan.
Overall, RBTs can work in a variety of settings, and their role is critical to the success of ABA therapy programs.
